FAMILY BUSINESS GALLERY - TAMIZDAT

Family Business Gallery approached the studio to collaborate with artist and designer Brendan Mahoney on an installation and event space for a temporary art magazine + bookstore project at the Tamizdat Exhibition in St. Petersburg, Russia. The project, completed in the summer of 2013, was sited in 2 conjoined shipping containers that provided a blank slate onto which a series of graphic moves were projected. The articulation of surface through pattern, drawing, and color, and the intervention of simple geometric volumes resulted in a playful and stimulating place in which to peruse the lyrical work on display.
