EMPOWERHOUSE DUPLEX / MULTI-FAMILY
Deanwood, Washington, D.C.
Following the Solar Decathlon competition, the Empowerhouse was sited in the community of Deanwood in Washington, D.C. Under the guidance of Habitat for Humanity, the one-story competition house was transformed to a 3-bedroom home. A mirror copy of the home was constructed adjacent to the original module to create a multi-family unit with a single welcoming front porch that opens to the surrounding community.
