HOT TUB IN THE DINING ROOM HOUSE
As the project title suggests, the home’s previous owner had….placed a hot tub in the primary dining room space. While holding potential as an unconventional feature - it did not align with more traditional dining experiences envisioned for the home.
To accommodate the project’s goals, we redesigned and expanded the home to solve functional and structural issues, while guaranteeing a water-and-bubbles-free dining experience. The kitchen was relocated to a new addition facing the rear garden, and the existing first floor bathroom was shifted to the former kitchen space. The existing first floor laundry was relocated to the second floor to create a multifunctional storage & cleaning space.
The exterior of the house was transformed with new finishes while respecting the historic qualities of the original design.
